
Birkdale Collective Supporting British Wrestling For Second Year
Birkdale Collective are supporting British Wrestling again with volunteer opportunities at the British Championships 2026 at the BEC Arena, Manchester. British Wrestling (BWA) are the National Governing Body for wrestling in the UK, including the Olympic and Commonwealth styles of wrestling and other styles within the remit of United World Wrestling.
The British Championships will be held at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester over the weekend of 16th and 17th May. The Championship brings together the top amateur wrestlers from across the United Kingdom, showcasing the very best of British wrestling talent. Full details on the competition can be found here.
Volunteers will be needed on Friday 15th-Sunday 17th May for a variety of shifts. Food, accommodation, beverages and event t-shirts will be provided for volunteers. Tasks include set up and packing up of the equipment, scoreboards, media, photography, t-shirt distribution and more.

British Wrestling represents Great Britain internationally and is a member of United World Wrestling, the British Olympic Association and the Commonwealth Games Council. British Wrestling is recognised by Sport England and UK Sport and operates as both the British and English governing body enabling synergy of effort to support and govern wrestling.
