The British Council Study UK Career Development Roadshow

Birkdale Collective are thrilled to share that our owner, Peter Davis is to be one of the panellists for the Study UK Career Development Roadshow. The multi-University event starts on Monday 25th March and was created by the British Council in partnership with LinkedIn. The delegation will travel to Queen Mary University, University of Bristol, University of Sheffield, University of Leeds, Newcastle University, University of Glasgow and finally the University of Edinburgh.

Peter is in a fortunate position for this panel having spent 7 years in China himself. He has worked with international students in multiple countries for over 16 years. Other panellists include Nancy Wang and Shawn Guo from LinkedIn, Felicia Jin from Tencent, Helena Lan from SHEIN, Rachel Liu from Midea and Tanya Tang from CATL.

Peter commented, “I’m really excited to be a panellist on this event. It’s a brilliant panel with lots of different companies represented so we should get a lot of different viewpoints. I spent so much time in China and now I’ve been back here just as long. I love talking about the working environments and styles of both countries.”

The ambitious schedule takes the delegation to Queen Mary and University of Bristol on Monday 25th March. On Tuesday the 26th of March the panel speaks at the University of Sheffield. Wednesday 27th March the panel will speak at University of Leeds and Newcastle University. The group will finish up on Thursday at University of Glasgow and University of Edinburgh.

The focus is both on returning to China and staying in the UK. The event aims to provide up to date information about China’s job market as well as trends on industrial development, employer expectations, the recruitment process and much more.
